one philosopher...
This time I decided to write down some of my yet so 'bright' thoughts concerning our philosophy lecture. Sitting there and asking myself what the heck is going on in the room, I come across some nutcase-like visions. Recentlu the talk was about whether a philosopher who went out of a 'cave' should go back to it. The answer may be 'no'. People went out of caves quite a while ago, they left some drawings there, but they never came back to take them (;p), they moved on. This philosopher, who somehow experienced his enlightenment will never be able to return to the 'pure', not knowing status from before his 'eureka'. Even if he had made a hole in his head using a driller or whatever, he wouldn't get rid of the experience (if he had lived it through). Going back to the 'cave' would therefore make no greater sense as it would be a simple mistification; cheating oneself; trying to escape from the consequences of leaving the cave in the first place... And the lecture comes to an end and I can go home!

To some extent, it's like wanting to get rid of your memories and experiences. I would like to be able to have this ability... but then if I ereased all the bad things that happened in my life and all the mistakes I made, it would be probable for me to make them again. Some lessons are really hard to learn but I believe they always work for good.
To support my previous comment, I would like to share this article with you:
The Hidden Side of Happiness
Thank you Marta!:)
Now, that is high brow talk :) Your professor would be really proud of you (and himself) if he could read that.
Let me add one thing, perhaps: coming back to the naiive, which is what some ideologists suggest as a solution to all our problems, would deprive us of all the joys we have when encountering culture. Being pure and simple is perhaps NICE, but must be terribly boring...
Boring and sad! :)
